The aim of the Florence Nightingale Nursing Training School is to train staff that can raise health care to its highest level and develop national standards in this field. Nevertheless, the priority of the school is to train students who know their responsibilities and who make these a way of life, who possess the ability to think freely and scientifically, respectful of human rights, equipped to care comprehensively for the health requirements of the individual, the family, and society. |
Students are given both theoretical and applied schooling and learn to see the patient as a biological, psychological, and sociological entity and to work together with a team of professionals to develop and ameliorate individual, family, and social health. Training takes eight terms (four years). There is a one-year voluntary preparatory course in English language learning. The staff also teach at the undergraduate programmes of the Anadolu University Distance Teaching Faculty. The teaching staff organize national and international congresses, symposiums, and seminars. Exchange programmes are undertaken in cooperation with European Schools of Nursing, and students are given field training. |
