Announcements Related to International Students Center Due to Coronavirus

Dear Students,

1)In accordance with the decision taken within the scope of the fight against coronavirus, our University is on official holiday from 16th March 2020 to 6th April 2020.
During this time, some students may want to go to their countries. Students leaving Turkey will be REQUIRED to have a 14-day quarantine on their return to Turkey. We recommend that you stay in Turkey. However, you are also free to leave Turkey. On the other hand, if you leave Turkey, it may be possible for Turkey to close the doors completely in addition to the 14-day quarantine. Please consider this possibility.

2) Due to coronavirus, the procedures for submitting student residence permit documents to the International Students Center have been postponed until the last week of April. The documents will not be accepted in March.

3) We minimize face-to-face contact due to coronavirus. You can send e-mail for your questions (isumer@istanbul.edu.tr) or you can telephone us (0212 4400000 - 12351). If you have to come to our Center in any case, please maintain a distance of 5 meters. Do not insist on more.

4) Until a second announcement, the Students Center's face-to-face working hours will be between 11.00-15.00 on weekdays.

5) If you have recently been outside Turkey, you should spend the first 14 days in your homes. If you think you have coronavirus symptoms, you should go to the Istanbul University Medical Faculty Emergency Service or the nearest hospital’s emergency service.
