Explanation About the Online Lesson System
Dear Academicians and students,
The universities in our country have started to give online (distance education) lessons according to the decision taken by Council of Higher Education (CoHE), because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic affecting all the world. In this context, as Istanbul University, we broadcasted the lesson materials, lesson notes, lesson videos, textbook links, lesson presentation links, and lesson videos (a compilation of more than 250,000 education materials) on İstanbul University Learning Management System (İULMS) for our students in our time of one week.
As mentioned before; İstanbul University also started to activate asynchronized education module at the same time. As a result of these studies, our online lessons system (which is one- to one compatible with İULMS), will start to work on 6 April 2020. According to this programme; at our all academic departments and at all education levels (associate degree, graduate degree, master’s degree) all the theoretical lessons and the theoretical parts of applied courses will be given by online course system. In addition to this, the courses which require application generally will be done in the summer period within an intense, compressed programme framework and the course programmes will be announced by İstanbul University at a following date.
On the other hand, all academic departments of İstanbul University must announce their “live lessons programmes” on their official websites. Besides this, we will deliver to our academicians and students the booklets of the lesson systems, animative videos in Turkish and English soon.
