Prof. Dr. Haluk ZÜLFİKAR
Prof. Dr. Haluk Zülfikar is a graduate of İU Faculty of Economics and worked as a Research Assistant and Doctoral Research Assistant in the Department of Econometrics until 2000. He has been working as a lecturer in the Department of English Economics at İstanbul University Faculty of Economics since 2000. He started his master's degree with the İU Institute of Social Sciences Public Entrepreneurship Master's Program and completed it with the İU Institute of Social Sciences Statistics Master's Degree and again with the Statistics Doctorate Program. While he was in England for postdoctoral study, he simultaneously taught undergraduate and graduate courses at different universities in London and Oxford, and served as an expert trainer / speaker in short-medium term training programs.
To date, he has served as Department Vice President, Faculty Board Member, Children's University Board of Directors, Continuing Education Center Board Member and Social-Human Sciences Research Ethics Board Member. He has been working as the Director of İU Rectorate Statistics Application and Research Center since 2016.
Prof. Dr. Haluk Zülfikar, who received the 2018 Turkey's Most Entrepreneurial Academician award, has managed and/or participated in 34 international and national projects. He has five scientific books, 6 book chapters, 128 scientific publications, most of which are international, and 404 citations.
Prof. Dr. Haluk Zülfikar, who started his duty as Rector advisor in August 2023, works in the fields of Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods and Applications, Communication and Health Research, Economic Analysis, Marketing, Data Science and Statistics.

Prof. Dr. Ergül BERBER
Prof. Dr. Ergül Berber completed her undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies at Boğaziçi University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. She did postdoctoral studies at Queen's University Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine in Canada. She has been working as a faculty member at İstanbul Arel University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics since 2010.
Appointed to the staff of associate professor in 2011 and professor in 2016, Prof. Dr. Ergül Berber also undertook duties such as Head of Department, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and Vice Rector during her academic membership. Prof. Dr. Ergül Berber, who has been serving as Vice Rector at İstanbul Arel University since 2017, has also taken part in scientific research projects as an executive, consultant, and researcher.
Prof. Dr. Berber, who has scientific publications and national/international congress participation within the scope of SCI, also has national and international congress awards. Prof. Dr. Ergül Berber was appointed as Advisor to the Rector of İstanbul University in 2023.

Prof. Dr. Gökhan POLAT
Between 1999-2006, he received his undergraduate education at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine. Between 2006 and 2011, he received Medical Specialisation training at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology. Between 2011 and 2013, he fulfilled his state service obligation as an orthopaedics and traumatology specialist.
Since 2013, he started working as a specialist at İstanbul University, İstanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology. In 2015, he worked as an observer on sports injuries and hip-preserving surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery (New York). After receiving the title of associate professor in 2018, he continues to work as a faculty member at İstanbul University, İstanbul Faculty of Medicine.
Assoc. Dr. Gökhan Polat has been serving as Advisor to the Rector of Istanbul University since 2023.

Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Fahri OVALI
Hüsnü Fahri Ovalı completed his secondary education at Private Darüşşafaka High School. He graduated from İstanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1985 and completed his specialization in child health and diseases at the same faculty in 1991. He worked at İstanbul Faculty of Medicine between 1993-2003 and at Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty of Medicine between 2003-2005. He became an associate professor in 1996 and a professor in 2003. Between 2005 and 2015, he worked as the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Training Officer and Chief Physician at Zeynep Kâmil Women’s and Childrens Diseases Hospital.
After serving as a member of the Board of Specialization in Medicine (TUK) between 2008 and 2013, Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Fahri Ovalı was appointed as the Head of the Department of Child Health and Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine at İstanbul Medeniyet University in June 2015. He was appointed as the Rector’s Advisor to the Rectorate of İstanbul University in 2023.
