HISTORY
The
vocational school is established in 1984-85 educational year, under
the name of Technical education for Dental Pros thesis Production. In
the educational year of 1985-86 school is renamed as Vocational High
School of Health Services and initiated the education for Program of
Dental Prosthesis, Midwife Education Program, Program of Radiology,
Program of Medical Laboratory, in 1987-88 educational year, for
Nursing Program, in 1996-97 educational year Program of Oral and
Dental Health and 2010-2011 educational year Program of Radiotherapy.
Midwife Education and Nursing Programs were then converted to
licence programs of four year educational duration and were parted
form the vocational school in 1997-98 educational year.
Aim of the College
Students who have graduated from our collage may easily find the
oppurtunity to work in private, public, university hospitals,
laboratories and medical centers. It is great advantage for our
graduates who are likely to continue their profession in health-care
field when we consider the fact that there is a great need for high
caliber technicians in Turkey.
The
purpose of the school establishment is mainly to train technicians
of healhcare for hospitals and related fields.
All
of the programs are 2 years include 4 mid-terms. During those times,
students take their theoritical lessons in our college buildings,
also Radiology, Dental Prosthesis Production, Oral and Dental Health
programs clinical practice are given them in Ý.Ü.Cerrahpaþa Medical
Faculty, Department of Radiology and I.U. Dentistry Faculty. Except
the theoritical lessons heldin college, the Medical Laboratory
program and Medical Documantation and Secretaryship program students
are also rotated in different departments of the hospital for
practice.
