Our Faculty

Location

Istanbul University consists of 17 faculties and 12 schools and vocational schools situated in many districts of Istanbul. In the first years of its existence, the University was based in Beyazit and the historic area surrounding it; but with the passage of time, it expanded to many other regions of Istanbul. Today, the Chancellory, the administrative units attached to the Chancellory, and various Faculties as well as the Faculty of Economics is located in Beyazit, Laleli, Saraçhane, and Vezneciler.
Faculty of Economics is housed mainly in four buildings which are not apart from each other.

• Main Building: Dean’s Office, Library, Department of Economics, Department of Public Finance, Department of Econometrics and some classes are situated in that historical building.
• Annex I: The main classes are located at that building. Computer Laboratories are situated at the second floor. In addition, Faculty administrative units and student clubs are located within it.
• Annex II: Department of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations, as well as the Department of Economic History are housed in that building.
