The Department of Tourism Management aims to train qualified executives in tourism which has recently become one of the most important industries. The reason of taking a decision to establish this Department under the structure of Faculty of Economics is to provide students, who will serve in tourism industry, not only with specialized knowledge in the field but also with basic skills of Economics, Business Administration and Management.
It is aimed to qualify the graduates of Tourism Management Department as managers who will work in administrative positions of accommodation, travel, transportation, congress – conference service companies and related organizations of public sector.  
The program also includes obligatory industrial training on 2nd and 3rd grades. Students who do not successfully complete their industrial training can not graduate.
The incoming students of the program are required to take English Preparatory Course. Those who are found proficient through English Proficiency Examination, enter directly into freshman year. The language of education is Turkish but English and German are taught as well.
