One of the new schools of Istanbul University,
The fiiflli Health Sciences Training School was
founded in 2000 and provides training for
midwifery. The aim of the school is to train
midwives who have scientific attitudes and
research skills, a comprehensive worldview, respect
for human rights and sensitivity for mother-andchild
and public health, and who can collaborate
with medical professionals in our country and
in the world.
Education consists

of theoretical and practical
courses. In the last two terms training heavily
relies on practice. The purpose of that is to give
responsibility to the students, prepare them for
actual work and make them graduate after having
experienced all midwifery practices and activities.
The school has modern and well-equipped
laboratories for practice lessons. Alumni can
work primarily at institutions offering basic
medical services and bed treatment and in medical
advice and training.
