The aim of the School of Profession in Law
is to educate students who will work in prisons,
court-bailiff’s offices and court offices.
Education covers 4 terms (2 years). Besides basic
knowledge of law, the students take courses in
management, accountancy, typewriting and computer.
The courses of law are held by the academicians
of the Faculty of Law, Istanbul University.
Alumni who are successful in the examination
given by Ministry of Justice can become head
secretaries and administrators at offices of justice,
court-bailiff’s offices and in penitentiary institutions,
and can also work in the offices of notaries and
lawyers. Especially in the last years alumni have
been recruited for the legal offices of private
companies and banks.
On graduation, students meeting regulatory
requirements of the regulations can transfer to
the Faculty of Law.
