The Medical Services Training School was
founded in 1984 when the Prosthesis Technicians
programme was begun. In later years, four new
programmes were added and the school took its
current shape. Training is given in four terms
(two years).
The Programme of Dental Prosthetics aims to
train staff to prepare prostheses for dentists.
Alumni can open their own laboratories using
the title of health technician, or can find job
opportunities in public institutions. Theoretical
and applied

courses are taught at the Faculty of
Dentistry by academics from the faculty or staff
working at the training school.
The Radiology Programme aims to train staff
knowledgeable and skilled in the operation of
techniques and machinery (such as BT, MR, or
Ultrasound) related to medical imaging. Alumni
cannot work on their own, but can find job
opportunities in private or public health institutions.
Theoretical and applied courses are taught at the
Cerrahpafla Faculty of Medicine by academics from
the faculty or staff working at the training school.
The Medical Laboratory Programme aims to
train technical personel familiar with the usage
of methods and apparatus used in clinical and
scientific research, and knowledgeable in the
process of analyses. Alumni cannot work on their
own, but can find job opportunities in private
or public health institutions. Theoretical and
applied courses are taught at the Istanbul Faculty
of Medicine by academics from the faculty or
staff working at the training school.
The Programme of Medical Documentation
and Secreterial Work trains individuals in the
field of evaluating, putting to use, storing, and
dispatching of medicinal data. Alumni cannot
work on their own, but can find job opportunities
in private or public health institutions. Theoretical
and applied courses are taught at the Cerrahpafla
Faculty of Medicine by academics from the
faculty or staff working at the training school.
The Programme of Oral Hygiene aims to train
technicians who will assist dentists. Alumni cannot
work on their own, but can find job opportunities
in private or public health institutions. Theoretical
and applied courses are taught at the Faculty of
Dentistry by academics from the faculty or staff
working at the training school.
