The institute was founded in 1971. Its aim is to research into Atatürk and his reforms and to publish on the subject. In accordance with this aim, scientific conferences are organized, and academics present papers on the topics of the National War of Independence, the Turkish Republic, and Atatürk's Principles and Reforms. These papers are published in the Institute Yearbook. Students having completed a graduate programme of at least four years can apply for an M.A. programme first, and a doctorate programme afterwards. |
