The Patients' School is a new health service established with the cooperation of the faculty with the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, starting with a pilot programme initiated in 2001. Patients with chronic ailments that produce negative effects on their every day life are supported and taught how to live more comfortably with their illnesses. Another service offered is introducing patients with similar complaints and encourage solidarity and the foundation of associations for patients. |
