INSTRUCTION TO AUTHORS

 

 

 

*      The journal of Engineering Faculty’s Earth Sciences Review is a publication of İstanbul University, Engineering Faculty. It is published twice a year.

 

*       The journal welcomes original scientific contributions in Geology, Geophysics and Mining Engineering in Turkish and English.Yayınların içeriğinden yazarlar sorumludur.

 

*      Submitted manuscript should not be previously published.

 

*      The authors of the manuscripts are responsible for the content.

 

*      The articles are accepted for publication or rejected by the Editorial Board considering the comments of the referees.

 

*      The rejected manuscripts are sent back to the author(s).

 

*      The text should be written in A4 size paper leaving 2.5 cm space margins from all sides.

 

*      The abstract including no more than 200 words has to be written both in Turkish and English.

 

*      Keywords should also be given in Turkish and English.

 

*      Manuscripts written in Turkish should include a detailed summary in English and manuscripts written in English should include a detailed summary in Turkish.

 

*      The font size of the submitted manuscript should be 12 pt and the line spacing should be 1.5; thus written manuscript should not exceed 20 pages including figures, tables etc.

 

*      The units of physical quantities should be given in SI.

 

*      The title of the article, the Figure and Table captions should be given both in Turkish and English.

 

*      The size of the Figures and Tables should not exceed A4 paper size. The size of the maps and cross-sections should not exceed A3 paper size.

 

*       The dimensions of a Figure including its caption should not be larger than 16.5x22 cm or 8x22 cm

 

*      Scale of the maps should be given as a line scale..

 

*      The dimension of a Photographic Plate should be 17x21 cm and the allowed maximum number of the plates is 4.

 

*      The font size in Figures and Tables should be large enough enabling reproduction (which may include reduction).

*      The authors will be charged for figures in colour.

 

*      Four copies of the manuscript written according to the format explained above should be submitted to the address given below. The articles accepted for publication should be re-arranged according to the format of the journal using Winword 6.0 or higher version in a camera-ready format. This final form should also be submitted as an electronic copy in a Floppy Disk or CD in addition to two hardcopies.
