Istanbul University is the oldest university in Turkey. It is entitled as one of the best of 500 universities in the world. Industrial engineering department, relatively a young one amongst other disciplines, has many advantages of being in the oldest university of the Turkey. Istanbul University is a distinguished university which students choose because of its wide range of research opportunities thanks to its fundamental scientific tradition, reach cultural and sports activities and an organized education system from accommodation to transportation.

Industrial engineering education lasts 4 years. Students take lectures according to the multi-disciplined course plan. Industrial Engineering Department is one of the thirteen engineering departments in Istanbul University Engineering Faculty. Approximately 900 undergraduate level students have been graduated from this department since 1990. Graduate level education is started on 2001.

Our campus is in Avcilar district which is 25 km. far from Istanbul city center.Public transportation is widely used and accommodation facilities are plenty in the campus. There is also a special guesthouse for foreign visitors.
