Introduction Meeting - 28.05.2007
ISPE Turkey - Istanbul University Faculty of Pharmacy -Associated Student Body's first meeting is held in Istanbul Kalyon Hotel in May 28, 2007. At the meeting, the association's students were briefed by Dr. Ü. Hekiman, president and industrial supervisor of Health Sciences Association, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Araman, academic supervisor, and Selim Seyhan, secretary general of Health Sciences Association.
With reference to this meeting, the associated student body will work on two projects and conclude them. At the same time, they will be trained about up-to-date subjects.

ISPE Turkey - Istanbul University Faculty of Pharmacy -Associated Student Body is formally registered with the official document of the Central Office in October 2007. Official registration certificate is given to Istanbul University ISPE Associated Student Body with a ceremony by the president of the association Dr. Ü. Hekiman.

Affiliate of the Year - 4.11.2007
The premier pharmaceutical manufacturing event of the year, the ISPE Annual Meeting was held on 4-7 November, 2007 in Las Vegas, USA . The Turkey Affiliate was represented by our members Selim Seyhan, Kerem Özensel and İrem Özensel. In the awards ceremonies on November 6th, our Affiliate was honored by receiving the "Affiliate of the Year" award for its achievements in innovation, rapid growth and contributions to the Society.
The award was presented to our secretary-general Selim Seyhan by the immediate past Chairman of the Board, Jane Brown and the Chairman of the Board, Bruce Davis.

ISPE Turkey Student Chapter
ISPE Turkey Affiliate - Istanbul University Faculty of Pharmacy Student Chapter 2009 Ó All rights reserved
On December the 16th, we realized the presentation that we had announced before, with the officers of our student chapter and our academic advisor. We talked about ISPE, how the Turkey Affiliate was established and we continued with the activities of our Student Chapter and we finished the session with Q&A.
There were about 50 students attending the presentation and they all really enjoyed learning about ISPE. We look forward to see them working with us in our Chapter!
On December the 19th, President and Vice-President of our Student Chapter participated to the regular executive board meeting of ISPE Turkey. We talked about our activities and goals for the new term. We also benefited from this occasion for inviting ISPE members to our faculty for educational seminars.
On December the 22nd, we organized an educational seminar called "A Blink to the Global Pharmaceutical Industry" at the Kalyon Hotel. Dr. Unsal Hekiman (Industry Advisor), Prof. Dr. Ahmet Araman (Academic Advisor) and several members from Turkey Affiliate made speeches about the current situation of the pharmaceutical industry both at international and local level. They emphasized the position of our country in the big industrial picture and they talked about their experiences in the pharmaceutical world.
