11:15-11:45 Review of recent NIH research proposals
What does it take to write a successful proposal ?

11:45-12:00 Learning Group

Wednesday, March 14:

10:00-10:30 Discussion of completed worksheets.

10:30 -10:45 Tea break and informal round table discussion:
Comments about the importance of "cooperative learning/peer editing/internal reviews" for grant proposal writing.

10:45-11:15 Review of "critiques" of NIH research proposals.
Fill out questionnaire re. my reaction to the critiques--due at next class meeting.

11:15-11:45 Review of several "good" hypotheses:
Why are they "good"?

11:45-12:00 Learning Group Worksheet* review:
Write 3 versions of the hypothesis which guides YOUR OWN research.

*This is likely to be the most difficult assignment of the entire workshop!
